I am a Product designer with a background in Psychology and visual design.
I have a passion for learning and problem-solving to make an online space oriented for people.
I have extensive experience in designing and testing UI components in Figma and staging builds, while collaborating closely with developers and QA to ensure seamless implementation. I work daily in adding and maintaining our current mobile design system at Canada Post.
I have recently worked on a year-long project for the Canada Post Mobile team that involved tokenizing each of our UI elements and applying themes to enable light and dark-mode. I worked to design, audit and define each atomic element to ensure consistency and scalability. This involved collaboration with developers to understand jet-pack compose and x code to help build out identical libraries on IOS and Android that mirrored what Design has defined.
I am code conversational when it comes to front-end development and have personally taught curriculum in the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and Java through my experience as an instructional specialist with the University of Toronto. My familiarity with the technical side allows me to collaborate effectively with developers for smoother integration.
I have a strong background in illustration and visual design, and I have led the transition of the Canada Post app to its new illustrative style. This involved creating a wide range of iconography and illustrative assets that were closely aligned with the overall brand and built out a repository for others to use.
